Another beautiful story unfold. The picture below shows a macaque nestles his head against his feathered friend. We , the humans, are taking a lesson here. These beautiful animals give us a hint that we could have a much more pleasant state of living if we can do away with sectarian agenda.

“They’re an odd couple in every sense but a monkey and a pigeon have become inseparable at an animal sanctuary in China.

The 12-week-old macaque - who was abandoned by his mother - was close to death when it was rescued on Neilingding Island, in Goangdong Province.

After being taken to an animal hospital his health began to improve but he seemed spiritless - until he developed a friendship with a white pigeon.

The blossoming relationship helped to revive the macaque who has developed a new lease of life, say staff at the sanctuary.

Now the unlikely duo are never far from each other’s side, but they aren’t the only ones to strike up an unusual friendship.

Earlier this year a pig adopted a tiger cub and raised him along with her piglets because his mother couldn’t feed him.

And in 2005 a baby dear named Mi-Lu befriended lurcher Geoffrey at the Knowsley Animal Park in Merseyside after she was rejected by her mother.”

In order to raise the spirits of an Italian prince burdened by the cares of his position, a musician created for him a cat piano. The musician selected cats whose natural voices were at different pitches and arranged them in cages side by side, so that when a key on the piano was depressed, a mechanism drove a sharp spike into the appropriate cat’s tail. The result was a melody of meows that became more vigorous as the cats became more desperate. Who could not help but laugh at such music? Thus was the prince raised from his melancholy.”

It must be a torture for the cats. I just cannot imagine that people would do this kind of thing now and I doubt that a present day prince would find it amusing.

In Moscow, a Russian lady with a big heart loves cats so much that she keeps 130 homeless cats in her flat.
Hopefully other cat lovers there will help her and the cats out.

Like some of you out there, I surf the net everyday but up till now only keep what I read or see in my memory. Maybe it is time for me to have a blog to keep a journal on those things which I find entertaining. I hope readers of this blog will find it amusing too.

So simply start blogging away! Sounds easy enough. In reality, it took me weeks to learn things like PHP, FTP, web hosting and now WordPress before I can get down to thinking about what to blog in my cyber-dairy. This task now seems more difficult than I previously envisaged.

Why such a weird domain name? Initially, I thought the contents of my blog will have somethings to do with cats, dogs and other lovely pets and therefore I was opting for “from cats to dogs”. It was abbreviated down to c2d.com. But that domain name was already taken and so I just picked one of the alternatives which is freec2d.com.
