Jersey Shore Animal Center is committed to the rescue and care of unwanted, abused, abandoned, sick animals and to the adoption of these animals to responsible, loving homes. To that end, veterinary care is provided as needed, medication and inoculations are given and neutering/spaying is done prior to adoption unless the animal’s health or age precludes this procedure. In addition, a compassionate staff tends to providing for each animal’s physical and emotional needs, taking care to keep each one sheltered, clean, well-fed and socialized.

Sanrio, a Japanese company announced plans to begin selling solid gold Hello Kitty playing cards through its online shop beginning October 3. Each of the 54 cards (2 jokers included) measures 58 x 89 mm and is made from 0.73 gram of 99.99% pure gold. Pressed to a thickness of 7 microns with precision rolling technology developed by the Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, the cards are sealed in a protective laminate printed with colorful designs that depict Hello Kitty in royal dress.% pure gold pressed to a thickness of 7 microns. The cards are priced at 567,000 yen ($4,900).
